It begins with a 25-minute hike to the top of a rock face above Tanomah, passing historic inscriptions etched into the mountain along the way. At the summit your guide sets the ropes, walks you through the technique, and checks every buckle before you step over the edge. Two options wait for you: a 13 m descent for first-timers, or a 30 m drop for those who want the full commitment. Both are guided, both are safe, and both give you a moment, suspended against the cliff, that stays with you long after. Open to experienced climbers and complete beginners alike. About 90 minutes.

The Ridge Walk starts a few steps from HUSAAK's Tanomah Center and follows a well-worn ridge line for 4 km across the highlands. It is a steady, moderate walk: enough to get the legs working, with uneven ground in places, but within reach of anyone reasonably fit. Your guide sets a conversational pace, stopping at a handful of viewpoints that look across Tanomah's green mountains and the valleys folded between them. The route is physically demanding on the knees, so trekking poles are worth bringing.
